Army Instructor (AI)

Organize, coordinate, and direct JROTC activities in the school, including adventure training, drill and academic competitions, service learning projects, awards ceremonies, military balls, and other activities. The AI assists the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) in accomplishing the instructional, operational, and administrative mission of the JROTC program. The AI is responsible for providing classroom instruction to cadets as established within the curriculum's program of instruction (POI) as provided by US Army Cadet Command (USACC) and school district guidelines and policies.  

 

Teach, coach and mentor high school students using the curriculum provided by Cadet Command, which focuses on making students better citizens.  Work with the school administration and outside agencies to provide opportunities to showcase our students and school.  Be willing to coach one or more of our JROTC extracurricular activities (Raiders, Drill Team, Color Guard, Marksmanship Team).  Meet Cadet Command's prerequisites to be a JROTC instructor found at http://www.usarmyjrotc.com/index.php.

This is an 11 month position. Salary range posted will be supplemented by Army funds.

 

Hold the Collegiate Professional License with a specific endorsement in the area to which assigned; have an acceptable rating for any teaching experience noted on the application; and have demonstrated the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, school personnel and members of the community.
