General Statement of Job: The Teacher Apprenticeship Program Participant will work under the supervision of experienced teachers to gain hands-on experience in the classroom, develop teaching skills, and acquire knowledge of teaching practices and curriculum development. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals who are interested in becoming teachers to gain practical experience and to prepare for a successful career in education.

Compensation:

Apprentices shall be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on either a dollar amount per hour:

Recommendation:
Entry Level Wage:     $15.75

After completion of 1,000 hourly rate would increase to $16.23

 

Work Environment:

Primarily controlled temperature and clean classroom environment. Exposure to outside elements may occur during transitions, field trips, and recess.
