To assist in managing the food service program in the school assigned according to federal, state, and local policies, to serve well balanced, nutritious meals to students, and to promote the educational aspects of the program to students, teachers and the community. 

 

Qulifications:

 

Evidence of having successful occupational experience/s/ in quanitity cookery and related use of institutional equipment.

 

General knowledge of accounting procedures, record keeping, receiving and depositing cash.

 

Certificate from the health deparment permitting the handling of food.

 

Have demonstrated the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, school personnel and members of the community.

 

Performance Responsibilities:

 

To assist in supervision, instruct, and assist employees in food preperation, serving and clean-up process.

 

To assist in planning and implementing work schedules for all food service employees.

 

To assist in serving meals that have been planned to meet the nutritional needs of the students.
